The main article this week to me is about a survey of 200 successful people. What are their habits? and is there any overlap between them? Siddharta’s teaching comes up in the survey, which can be summarized as “think, endure and wait.” Increasingly, it feels to me these are skills we are losing in this world. It’s good to spend time in the woods sometimes, thinking or riding your bike or running the trails, to suffer mild pain/uneasiness and to wait for results.
Moreover, articles on sustainability, what will be the 2017 trends and a list of podcasts to listen to on your way to work.
Last year brought huge political shocks to the environment and development communities. During WRI’s Annual Stories to Watch event, Andrew Steer highlighted how these trends may affect U.S. and international climate policy, business and investment, global energy markets and more this year.
The Transcontinental is a race across Europe by bike, and unsupported. This movie features Frank van der Sman, local Amsterdammer and former employee at Meesterknecht. Great video and accomplishment by those who partook!
