Your weekly focus on sustainable solutions to make Corporates, Cycling & Ourselves better + all that overlaps! from @Timvdweide, ex-bikeshop owner, agent @andmoraal and consultant @ERMinsight.
Hello!
Just got back from a great weekend of cycling. Friday morning started with an early ride rolling out at 6.30 for a 50km spin around Amsterdam with entrepreneurs, designers and folks like me. Today I joined a 60km ride with a new cycling clothing shop in town, Maats.cc. Also, today I watched a race in part of an Amsterdam park and streets of Amsterdam, back to the 1950s when this was a common occurrence.
This week: running vs other sports, to sleep you need, climate change runs in business veins, sharing is caring and Philips goes green.
“A new report from WWF, Calvert Investments, CDP and Ceres finds nearly half of Fortune 500 companies—48 percent—have at least one climate or clean energy target, up five percent from an earlier 2014 report.”
“Girona is the centre of Europe’s cycling world, and in the newly-opened Service Course it has a boutique-flavoured two-wheeled hub for the city’s residents and visitors to cherish.” Nice shop!
“Running is cheap, easy and reduces the risk of heart disease and early deaths. But do the health benefits outweigh those from other activities, such as walking, cycling or swimming?” - Should I run more?
