Hi everyone,
As I’m writing these lines I’m on a plane, flying back to Dublin after spending a short week in London. You can see many more pictures on my own personal website HERE.

I came over for a business trip early in the week, and extended my stay to the weekend to make the most of the city. As it happened, it was a lucky time to travel, as this side of the continent was going through a heatwave.
During the first few days, I was at a conference in the affluent Kensington area. It was a good opportunity for me to spend some time with one of my clients: Varanida. With the team, we were exhibiting at Blockchain Expo — it was the first time I had been to a business exhibition and having a booth on the show floor.
As you can expect, it was very tiring, what with having to spend the whole day standing up, pitching our product to interested parties, and following up in the evening with multiple outings, meetup, and networking events.
After-hours networking in a trendy bar located under Stamford Bridge, the stadium where Chelsea Football Club plays 😲 ⚽️
On Friday, my colleagues left for France and I moved over to Shoreditch, the hip and artsy side of East London, where you can find startups along with the latest restaurants and bar trends.
I had a delicious lunch in the sun on this little plaza
I genuinely love this area because there is always something new to discover, interesting finds in local little markets, and lots of politically incorrect street art. Gotta love it!
On friday evening, I enjoyed walking around by myself taking lots of pictures.
Every pub was virtually filled with people drinking outside on Friday.
And then on Saturday, my friend Dan and his girlfriend Kim invited me over for a lovely little brunch in their apartment. On my way to their place, I discovered more new areas, walking along cute little canals, passing through local street markets.
The canals reminded me of Dublin or Amsterdam
Dan is an American expat who’s lived in London for almost a decade now. And his girlfriend Kim is French, from the South of France (about an hour and a half away from where I come from), with family roots from Laos — definitely a few interesting traits that led to very interesting conversations. Their friends were also all expats Londoners from Taiwan and Korea.

Our gracious hosts had prepared some avocado and salmon toasts with wasabi mayonnaise. Then, we had some eggs with sides of potatoes, mushrooms that were deliciously pan-fried with spices and herbs. We washed it all down with Mimosas and Prosecco, making the entire day feel like a Sunday.
We talked about traveling, about being expats, about culture and modern relationships. We discussed our favorite places to travel to, and experiences from all around the world. Everyone recommended their favorite recent movies, tv shows, and books — they had an impressive list of books with lots of interesting reads I’ll have to pick up for myself very soon.
As I left their apartment in the early evenings, I found myself feeling very grateful to be able to hang out with so many interesting people, and already look forward to connecting with Dan & Kim in London, Dublin, or elsewhere.
