Hello. Welcome to Thrive. 你好。欢迎来到 Thrive。
For the month of July, Thrive is very happy to be collaborating with TEDxPickeringStreet. Through these issues, we hope you get to look at your life with a fresh pair of eyes. Find new people to hold hands with, share your wisdom, challenges, and breakthroughs. Learn from the stories of others. Grow yourself and the world around you. Join the change.

A Note To Our Readers
Hello, seekers of meaning & wisdom!
Welcome back to another instalment of Thrive! This week is all about emotional awareness. So I thought I’d share how we curate our event in terms of the emotional journey we hope to take participants on. No, we don’t just pick a handful of speakers, throw them together and hope for the best.
Our mission for this year is to help participants “Experience Thrive”. What does that look like? What are the emotions of thriving? We don’t want to dictate your emotional experience, but in one word, the emotion we are hoping you will walk away with is ‘awe’.
That’s an awfully fuzzy word, isn’t it? What is awe? We like to see awe as the amalgamation of two things:
  1. An orgasm of positive emotions
  2. The feelings of spirituality, love, gratitude and desire to serve when we recognise that we are part of something bigger than ourselves
But that’s just our interpretation. You get to decide what thrive and awe feel like for you.
So I invite you to write down the feelings that make up ‘thrive’ for you and situations that trigger those combination of emotions for you.

Listen to Teodora talk about what it means to be emodiverse.
Emotions are the oldest language of the human species. Teodora, a positive psychologist, will explore what it means to be emodiverse, what the pathways are to becoming emodiverse, how it leads to greater well-being and to a greater sense of what we all desperately desire more of in the 21st century: connection.
