There has been a lot in the news about lately about travelers become sick with some unexplained illness and dying. Some have been explained as natural causes but some still have no explanation. The Dominican Republic has been one place that has had a lot of problems. Does that mean you shouldn’t travel there? I can’t answer that for you but I would say no matter where you go anywhere in the world, do a little research on the area and the hotel or resort you are staying at. Don’t pick a place based on pretty pictures alone. General travel safety tips should be used and spend a little time researching the resort. It will help give you peace of mind and may even save your life.
