The Timeline
The timeline has made me really happy lately.

First things first
We hit a milestone a few weeks ago. We’ve been at this for more than 6 months, y'all!
But, I do have to apologize. One of the newsletter signup forms I put up wasn’t working properly. A whole bunch of you haven’t been receiving this newsletter even though you signed up for it months ago. I didn’t notice! I’m sorry, and my bad.
So to those of you receiving this newsletter for the first time: Hello!

I guess I’ll file this little technical snag under all the lessons I’ve learned in the short time I’ve been cranking out this newsletter. ALWAYS. CHECK. THE. FORMS.
Anyway, we have some catching up to do. Here’s what’s been happening on my timeline.

Blue’s Clues has been celebrating its 25th anniversary and on Tuesday, Steve gave us — millennials and zillennials — the closure we needed. This video reminds me just how much life has passed and how old we’re all getting. Wait ‘till you hear him mention student loans.
The newest Marvel film, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, smashed Labor Day weekend box office records and Asian America (Me! I am Asian America!) is screaming. In the words of Shang-Chi, Simu Liu, himself: Let’s. Freaking. Go.

BTS and their fanbase, BTS Army, got #AmazingMegan to trend on Twitter. The hashtag was included in a tweet to promote a remix to their song “Butter” featuring Megan Thee Stallion.

🎶 Kanye West’s producer went on Discord and asked a server made up of Kanye’s fans which version of “Hurricane” they liked most. That was after Kanye held multiple listening events in Atlanta on the lead-up to the release of his latest album, “Donda.”
🎮 Twitch streamers took a day off the platform at the start of the month to bring awareness to hate raids targeting vulnerable creators. And the platform’s viewership took a hit.
🔊 Amazon is working on a live audio feature similar to social audio platforms like Twitter Spaces, Clubhouse and Spotify Greenroom.
✍🏼 Facebook is working with local journalists to launch paid newsletter products.
