Welcome to the Quatro de Mayo edition—the 101st issue—of the New Dynamic Newsletter.
I’ve been thinking about search lately. It’s been nearly three years since we did our “Search for Static Sites” event (I guess before we called them “JAMstack”) and things have evolved! From dead simple tools like CloudSH to do-pretty-much-anything with ElasticSearch/Swiftype and Algolia, or even DIY or light-weight solutions like Remy Sharp’s, linked below, there are a lot of ways to get there, but I’d really like to find a solution that doesn’t depend on an external vendor or a traditional backend, yet doesn’t put the burden of index on my users. If you know of or have built some sort of server…less solution, let me know.

A few weeks ago, I mentioned a new tool, Liftoff, built around integrating Airtable data into a static site (of which there are many ways ). This week, we have an interesting post below from Zeit to introduce their Serverless Pre-rendering that incidentally uses the Notion app as a data source.

By the way: the New Dynamic Slack is active every day and if you’re not already there, we’d love to have you participate: http://slack.tnd.dev
