The Medium Edition
Happy Friday Familia! Here’s everything you need to know about what I have published on Medium this week.
First, let’s talk about a powerful tool you need to master to build and improve your financial life, it’s called “intention implementation”.
It’s usually said that consistency is, the key to achieving goals and implement habits into your routine… but that’s easier said than done. After all, consistency is hard to achieve because it’s deeply tied to our motivation, and sometimes it’s hard to find motivation within ourselves.
Intention implementation acts as a bridge between the goals we’re trying to reach and our motivation. In other words, if you want to create intention implementation you should set a habit like this:
So, now that you have this in mind let’s see your five financial habits and how you can use this formula of intention implementation to seamlessly incorporate each one of them into your routine.
5 Easy Habits To Build And Improve Your Financial Life
Also, I want to share with you that now I’m actively collaborating with this amazing startup called futur/io Institute. Our community consists of business leaders, futurists, innovators, and creatives shaping a better future for our planet, society, and generations to come. And I’m grateful to be part of that and contribute towards building a better and sustainable world.
On Tuesday Greta Thunberg said at the Youth4Climate that, “There’s no Planet B. There’s no Planet Bla, Bla, Bla… Bla… We can no longer let the people in power decide what hope is. Hope is not passive. Hope is not blah blah blah. Hope is telling the truth. Hope is taking action
And… she’s so right! Hope is not passive! Therefore, the question that follows is: “What can I do to collaborate and create a better world?”
So, no matter if you’re “just” an individual, or if you have your own company, or if you’re an entrepreneur, there are hundreds of ways to contribute.
And today I want to share with you “How Businesses Can Create Value Supporting the Sustainable Development Goals.” Do you want to be part of the change or will you just stand there and do nothing?
About Apple
As you know, last month I launched with MacO'clock this new section called Apple NewsWeek, where I talk about the latest news around Cupertino. I’m so excited to share with you a new completely redesigned Apple NewsWeek. Go and check it out:
Apple NewsWeek: The Two Biggest Features Of The iPhone 13 | by TheJuanSC | Mac O’Clock | Oct, 2021 | Medium
Besides that, I’ve been making some experiments with the new iOS15 and I must say that Focus mode changed completely the way I use my iPhone, and I want to share with you exactly how I did and how I’m implementing it in my work and also in my lifestyle.
How Focus Changed The Way I Use My iPhone
TheJuanSC Edition
The past few weeks I’ve been making some complete makeovers on my social media. Why? Because I want to build an ecosystem where everything is related and interconnected to my work. The idea is to increase traffic to Medium and Twitter. Why Medium and Twitter? Well… Medium is a Twitter company.
I’ve been out of social media for a long period of time, and I’m back. But not to procrastinate.
I’ve been thinking about how to use all these social media in order to improve my work and not that they use me, and also not become myself the product.
I want to share with you how I did it.
I read an article on Medium where Karo Wanner explained how she borrowed James Clear’s Instagram strategy to grow her email newsletter. And from that article, I took the main idea:
“Add your newsletter subscription link.” It seems very simple, but actually, it’s really powerful!
So, I did that… I added my Substack newsletter to my Instagram account. Directly on the website (below the Biography). But then, something happened on Twitter that completely changed the game.
You see, when I moved from ConvertKit to Substack just before that I created an account also on Revue. I was just checking my options. But in the end, I chose to migrate to Substack.
But last week I saw this on my Twitter account:
Twitter is testing a new subscription system: By subscribing to a newsletter from a Twitter profile, readers with an email address linked to their Twitter account can easily keep up with their favorite creators who have Revue newsletters.
And here I am… migrating again. From Substack to Revue. I’m mean, this tool is powerful for content creators! It’s a way to grow your Twitter account, your newsletter and also to drive traffic to whatever platform you want to, in my case that’s Medium!
There’s one big BUT and it’s that you can only subscribe to Newsletter on Twitter. That’s it. Therefore, I changed my newsletter subscription link on Instagram because that tool is just perfect on Twitter. So, now I’m doing quite the opposite of what James Clear suggested.
But… I’m using what Alyssa Carson suggested, in case you don’t know who she is, she’s gonna be the first human living on Mars by 2030-something. She’s using this link called developed by NASA, where you can add all your links accounts in just one place. The platform is pretty dope, it’s new and it’s growing, so maybe it’s a good strategy. We will see.
So I changed my strategy and I focused more on my IG feed, where you can find inspirational quotes, pictures of my lifestyle, and the most popular medium story I have published so far that week.
Besides that, I’m being more active on BitCloud where I’m posting pretty much the same thing that on Twitter but the only difference is that with my personal coin (BitClout Token) I’m generating more profit and increasing the value of my cryptocurrency with every post that I make.
And what do I post on Twitter? Valuable content, promoting my articles published on Medium and being active with the Apple and different cryptocurrencies communities I belong to. Btw, I have a milestone that I want to accomplish by the end of this month:
I want to stream 3 Twitter Space with three CEOs of different startups and I want to grow my Twitter account to 1000 followers. So, if you want to contribute to my personal milestone please follow me on Twitter, and that way you can be notified when I’m going live with the Twitter Space talks.
Also, my streamings on Twitch are kind of behind the scenes of my work on Medium: sometimes I stream myself writing, editing, or reading any story that I’m working on at that moment. And my new YouTube channel is where I post the highlights of the past Twitch streams.
As you can see, I’m developing an ecosystem where everything is focused on generating more traffic to Medium. But you can apply it to whatever platform you’re interested in: Your YouTube Channel, your Podcast, your Blog… etc. I hope it can be useful to you!
It’s pretty soon to watch some results but I’m gonna give it a few weeks, and I will tell you how much we have grown in our community. Stay tuned
