Like I mentioned before, this time all the process of making the review was focus on having the best user experience as possible as an “Apple lover”. In other words, I put myself in any situation possible that I thought could be really useful to have in hand the new iPhone features.
I didn’t make these reviews thinking on the views, and I don’t care if I get few views or a lot of them. BUT, what I do… what I did care about was to have fun making the review.
I went to a studio and join a team of other “Apple lovers” (Apple fanboys/ fangirls). They’re YouTubers and have their own Tech websites. So, it was fun to test all the new iPhones together, to make brainstorm, to share our experience and opinions about the new improvements. And that experience was priceless.
Basically, we share our opinions about how to make our individual draft in order to present these new reviews, and when you do this brainstorming you think about everything, like:
- What do you feel (sensations, emotions, etc) when you have the iPhone on hand?
- What’s the vibe? (according to the color, texture, weight, size)
- Which one do you think is the most important feature and why?
- Is it really useful? How?
Let me explain a little bit further:
It’s not the same make a draft as a Medium writer as a YouTuber. The approach’s really different, so it’s really important to find a way to provide to the viewer (or the reader) the emotions and thoughts you’re feeling or thinking when you’re making all the tests to the new products.
We took pictures in Barcelona (the ones on my reviews), in Valencia (also in my reviews), in Madrid (not in my reviews). We made daily tests on the battery, camera, and performance. And that’s why we took so long on launching the reviews. We wanted to collect as much data as possible in order to make a great review.
I know that people don’t buy a new iPhone every year, not anymore. Therefore, the way we make the reviews have also changed. So now it’s more comparison for context. It’s to put alongside something that you already know. And that’s what I did with this year’s iPhone reviews.
I really had a good time! I’m not gonna lie I was exhausted, I was really burned out but it definitely paid off! And I hope you enjoy the review as much as I enjoyed writing it. For real, just make a good cup of coffee and enjoy. That’s what I did every time I was editing it.
I have a BIG announcement to make: Tomorrow is my first Twitter Space and it’s going to be called The Outer Space
Join me tomorrow for the first time ever in Twitter Space, it will be the first time we can talk not “face to face” but “voice to voice” and share our thoughts and opinions together.
The main subject will be The Facebook file & The Mental Health Crisis. If it’s a success and it’s really valuable to you, I want to make the Twitter Space weekly! On Saturday!
I didn’t make the podcast but I’m gonna make the Twitter Space! :D I think “this is the way!”
I’m really excited about this new project and I hope you can be part of it!
All you need to do is to go to my Twitta profile
and smash the follow
button. Also, you can allow Twitter to notify you when I post something so you don’t miss anything.
By the way here’s something I discovered yesterday and it blew my mind!!!
