Trade Tickets Have Arrived 🎟
After a frustratingly quiet month of September, one of the major Summer roadmap items has finally dropped! Trade tickets are here, and there is a lot to digest prior to Tuesday’s first ticket-related Stress Test. A full breakdown:

Full breakdown via the Top Shot blog, and additional information via the Economist.
The Trade Ticket program brings some interesting new utility to the least desirable moments on the platform — though the reported 300-500 trade ticket price for the Series 1 packs seems daunting at first glance.
With Collector Score still factoring into the mix going forward, users will have some game theory to decipher — liquidate the lower moments in the collection (and sacrifice CS) for a chance at S1 moments, or hold and have a higher CS for upcoming S3 drops?
Additionally, Series 2 moments will have higher CS value than Series 3, making them arguably more desirable going forward. On top of that, you’ll have a lower circulating supply of Series 2 moments as collectors trade them in, theoretically raising their value.
Decisions, decisions.
The Locker Room 🔒
When moments are traded in for tickets, they are sent to ‘The Locker Room’, a public Top Shot collection. And so far, the community hasn’t wasted any time, with the account amassing over 61,000 moments (and a Collector Score of 822,000)
There have also been several strange trade-ins, including a Legendary Holo Icon Christian Wood, and MGLE Tyler Herro, and several LeBron James moments. What are we doing here?

Remember folks, every moment is worth exactly the same (1) when it comes to trade tickets. So I’m at a loss as to why moments of value are being submitted, other than sheer stupidity/lack of knowledge about the system. Or maybe Top Shot is seeding the wallet with some enticing moments to drum up hype?
I’m sure someone will do a thorough look into the accounts of those submitting major outlier moments to the vault. Paging Taylor Stein!
Top Shot Cameos 🎤
It is always fun to see Top Shot (and NFTs in general) transcend past our little internet bubble and into the public eye. Two particular cameos caught my eye this week, via NBA 2K22 (H/T @mintedmoments) and Judge Mathis (H/T @slyflymccartney):
