I personally sat this one out, and am just not feeling the base packs at the moment. We’re getting close to the holidays, so maybe we see Deck the Hoops soon?

We had 240,000 more base packs hit the Top Shot ecosystem on Tuesday, with a somewhat underwhelming list of new rookies and moments. We’re now 5 drops into Series 3, and it’s feeling ripe for a rare or legendary drop soon.

The total market cap is a far cry from the three comma days of February, and while a return to that is probably unreasonable, let’s hope for some green on the charts soon.

Doing a little winter cleanup of your moment collection? Maybe you’re tax-harvesting, or upping that Dapper balance for NFL All Day or Ballerz hype?

Purging from your collection is a tedious task — as the Top shot UI can be… slow to say the least. This experience, and some good advice on how to pare down your collection, is detailed excellently in this thread from our friend Plunge:

We had two major announcements that caught my eye these past few days — both with potentially huge implications for the future of NFTs.

The first:

We’ve seen how fun NFTs can be with gambling/fantasy sports — and having one of the biggest companies in the space join up with the NFL IP is exciting to say the least.

The future of fandom? Sounds familiar! Speaking of Dapper, it’ll be interesting to see how this shakes out for NFL All Day. Will their partnership with the NFLPA have an entirely separate scope, or will we see some integration between the two? Use your moments in fantasy contests, a la Moment Ranks Play or The Owner’s Club, perhaps?

The second announcement:

It was surprising to see the negative sentiment around the announcement — but we’ve frequently seen people rush to hate things they don’t understand. Gaming is such a perfect mechanism for NFTs, and the sooner gamers realize they can own and profit from their in-game assets, the better.
