Maybe it was because I was there and involved but I can’t remember a live event having as much impact as Britney Spears at Brighton Pride did for quite some time.
That park was a hideous, overcrowded mess where everyone had forgotten the true meaning of gay Christmas and then Britney stepped on stage and something sort of magical happened.
I still can’t really make sense of it but well done to everyone involved in the event for pulling that off. The day’s event are wonderfully mulled over in the first link below.
Cut to the other end of this week and Cher dropped the first song from her ABBA covers album. ‘Gimme, Gimme, Gimme’ is a gift from the gay Gods. I’m still in disbelief that it is a thing that is actually happening. It’s just one of my pick of the new releases in Listen below.
