Like Miss Ella Fitzgerald said, “ it’s not where you come from, it’s where you’re going that counts.” While Afrodiasporans are diverse in many ways, we do have one thing in common: being underestimated because of the color of our skin. We are aware of the social and economic limitations stacked against us but this week’s issue is all sorts of inspiring and celebrates Afrodiasporan men and women who push past boundaries to take their seat at the table.
