Chadwick Boseman’s passing has left a void that will be difficult to fill. His life, his art, and his choices as a creator are lessons about intentionality. His life taught us the essence of our choices and their impact on our community. His unforgettable intentional portrayal of our black heroes, James Brown, Jackie Brown, and Thurgood Marshall will only continue to strengthen our conviction that black art matters and is here to stay. We are sad but most importantly, we are inspired.
