You know that situation where you’ve been conditioned to believe that a problem is the norm? That was always the issue with black imagery. Or rather, the lack of it. Many of us never saw ourselves in the images on mainstream television growing up. While the push for representation is gaining grounds, it’s still an uphill battle.
