The React Digest

April 28 · Issue #20 · View online
A hand-picked weekly selection of the best React JS resources.

What’s great about React is abstracting and confining complexity. Take any concept and wrap it in a component. You’ve now simplified the use of that complexity. This week I discovered how hard it is to create email markup with tables. I decided to create a component library with all the pieces needed for beautiful email templates. Now I don’t have to worry about tables and safe styling rules.
Along the way I discovered MJML; a markup language for email built on top of React. It’s quite the feat and makes for interesting code reading. Today MJML 2.0 was released, checkout the announcement.
In other news I’m away for the next 8 weeks. I love writing this newsletter but I simply won’t be able to send it regularly. I’m asking for help! If you’d like to take the reign please reply and let me know why you’re up for the task.
