I think that now it is a good time for me to share what’s happening with TestingCatalog at this moment.
After many different tests and experiments, we still have to continue our investigation of how we can operate and grow in future. At the same time, as our revenue stream went down (because of Google+), we cannot continue producing as much content as we used to do before.
I am considering a wide range of different opportunities for TestingCatalog in order to find a big enough market and a path to grow there in future.
I had to take a short break because of this and I also had to pause my other activities in order to allocate more time for this investigation.
These actions gave me a chance to get a better overview of what I was doing for these 3 years and of what I am willing to do in general.
Only after almost 3 months, I realized that TestingCatalog received the most of its income from content aggregation!
Before going further, I want to shrink some functionality of TestingCatalog (reports and updates). This will allow me to focus on the core feature of TestingCatalog - aggregation of Android apps in beta!
I will be publishing and sharing new beta apps on all our social channels as before. At the same time, I will try to favour popular apps and apps reported to me by their developers or by their users (feel free to send them to me however you like).
This will be the state of TestingCatalog project until I will get better ideas.
At the same time, I am actively working on a separate project which I also announced here a while ago. A new project for crowdtesters in order to help people to earn extra 200-500$ a month in spare time.
As soon as I will finish my preparation I will make an extra announcement over here.
The Crowdtesting project will be built under TestingCatalog until I will have a need to split it out.
