Keeping this intro short and sweet this week as my grandma is in the hospital. Please hug the caregivers in your life. Trust me; they could use it. 🤗
I ran across this Morgan Harper Nichols’ poem in a previous issue and thought it was right on time:
Let September be September.
Let October be October.
Practice stillness
where you need to practice stillness.
Take action where you need to take action.
Give energy to the things
you need to give energy to.
Rest where you need to rest.
And through it all, trust:
no matter what you are waiting for,
you are not simply waiting.
You are growing in your capacity
to be prepared for what’s to come.
On to the picks!

  • 📺. Watching: The Big Leap. Down on their luck characters chasing their dreams by participating in a dance reality show…. Umm yes, please. 💃🏾 Plus Noel from Felicity is in it! If you know, you know. 😉
  • 🎧. Listening: In the Meantime. I have yet to hear the whole thing, but Alessia Cara has a new album and already loving “Drama Queen” and “Best Days.”
  • 🚰 Purchase: Recess. I never thought I’d jump on the CBD water bandwagon. But Recess has changed my mind. Besides having really great marketing and branding, it tastes pretty good (my fave flavor is Black Cherry). And it’s a bit woo for sure, but it does keep me calm and help me focus. It’s a nice “beat the afternoon slump” sidekick for me. They also have a non-CBD version that is packed with magnesium.  Get 15% off your order with my link.
