This week continues to be about self-care as I’m still under the weather. The doctor gave me another course of antibiotics along with a steroid so it’s forced me to say no to a lot of things and rest (a lot). It’s been tough to miss some events and to cancel some meetings, but I feel like I owed it to myself and my health to do so.
If we don’t make time for self-care and keep on work, work, working (like Rihanna sings), our bodies will force us to slow down. So try to build in as much self-care and downtime as you can - whatever that looks like for you. Whether it’s ending your work day at 5pm, having a Saturday-free social media day, getting a massage, or doing some coloring. Make sure to build in time for a break.
Yesterday, I treated myself to a solo movie date to see Bad Moms
- hilarious, inappropriate and just what I needed. Also the soundtrack is aaaa-mazing
