This week has been filled with a couple of new experiences.  🙌🏾 On Monday, I attended this Women in Comedy event hosted by my friend Victoria (look her up, she’s awesome!) and it focused on women reading love letters to themselves - some their younger selves, some their older selves. But what struck me is how much self-love and self-acceptance that is a part of that process. ❤️ I would tell my younger self to experiment more and lean into the weird, quirky person that I am.  What would you tell your younger self?
It was a beautiful experience and I went with my bestie so it was a great girls night filled with incredible stories, tears (yes I got teary-eyed because it took a lot of courage for those women to stand up there and be vulnerable and share themselves with us).  😭 And after each love letter read, we were able to hear from a stand-up comic. I haven’t laughed so hard in a very long time.  All in all, I need more of that in my life.
In other new experiences, since I’ve still been coughing on and off still after my bronchitis antibiotics were gone, I decided to go to urgent care to make sure I wasn’t worse.  I learned that apparently bronchitis can last for 2-3 months.  😯  And I took a breathing test.  So I had to exhale all of the air in my lungs into this tube dealie with the nurse cheering me on. Talk about a dizzying experience. That told us that my airflow was only at 61% or so (normal is 85%) so I received my first ever nebulizer treatment. I breathed through a tube for about 10 minutes with the medicine filling my lungs and helping me breathe better with less coughing.  I now have an inhaler so that when I’m having issues, I can take a puff.  So at least I have something to help and there is an end in sight.
What I’m loving right now:

What I’m reading:
Wrinkle in Time. I saw the movie which I adored. So I’m excited to dive into the story. Little nervous to read the book after the movie but I’m gonna give it a try!
What I’m working on:
My Phoenix trip is coming so soon!  So I’m working on slides for my workshop on how to start and manage a side hustle.
