Being a side hustler can be tough especially if you are not building in time for self-care
. You know I’m a big fan of reading and it continues to help me feel centered. I realize that I also need some form of exercise. And sadly, I have a gym in my building and I still can’t get motivated to go downstairs. 🤦🏾♀️
But I do remember loving my #FearExperiment rehearsals and feeling really good after those. I was sharing with a friend of mine (hi Amy!) over lunch one day and she told me about a friend of hers who teaches a BeMoved class: which is all about dance as a form of self expression and joy. She introduced us via email and should I say the rest was history?
I went to a class on Monday. It was incredible and exactly what I needed. I moved, I sweated, I smiled inside. It was like healing for my soul. Glorious.
Is it hitting the recommended exercise per week? Nope. Did I look awkward? You betcha! 😜 But it’s movement and makes me feel good. Baby steps right?
