Notice anything different about this newsletter? We have a new logo! Do you like it? I really wanted #jesspicks to have a graphic for awhile and thanks to this Etsy shop
, we have a winner. 👏🏾
In other news, I closed a chapter of my life this week. Yesterday was my last day at 1871. Running the WiSTEM program for the past 2.5 years has been an amazing experience. As I look back on the impact I’ve made working with 86 women, I feel nothing but pride and a huge amount of fulfillment. ❤️
I am also excited about the next chapter. On Monday, I start at General Assembly as a Career Coach - helping grads of tech education programs find jobs. It combines my love of teaching, coaching and relationship building. So I feel this incredible blend of sadness and happiness but it’s all good things at the end of the day.
I’m also getting ready for my Phoenix trip and the side hustle workshop I’m doing. Busy week next week so off to plan and rest up!
What I’m loving right now:
Five Minute Journal.
One of my WiSTEM members (thanks Amy!) gave me one of these as a gift. I’ve been using it for the past couple of days and I have to say it’s made me feel more positive and just better in general.
What I’m working on:
Transitioning. I had high hopes of getting a lot of my business stuff done before I started the new job. (You know that saying about God and plans?) But transitioning is hard for a lot of reasons so I’m giving myself a break and fingers crossed that I’ll have something to show you next week.
On to the picks for the week!
