It may be just me, but have you noticed Jamie Dimon upping the rhetoric on fintech lately? On podcasts, with journalists, and in 10ks, JPM’s captain has been chumming the waters, both goading the upstarts (saying warm and fuzzy things like “I expect to win in payments”) and also making peace and partnership overtures to fintech players on his team’s periodic trips to Silicon Valley. It seems JPM is working hard on winning.
