Isn’t it interesting how different people read the same data? We had 2 different perspectives on the health of the industry this week. KPMG published its year in review and, not surprising, 2015 was a big year for new capital (almost $14b) finding its way to technology startups in the financial space (see Bloomberg, too). Look more closely at the numbers, however, and you have a massive drop off in fintech (and general) funding in Q4 2015. Of course, it’s just 1 data point and doesn’t necessarily signal a trend. Just saying.
