Zenefits is on my mind. Valued at tens of billions of dollars, at one point, the 2 year old insurance company was said to be the fastest growing startup in history. But near year end, Fidelity seriously marked down its investment in Parker Conrad’s company.  And now, Conrad is out after it became clear his firm skirted licensing rules as a matter of policy. In my consulting days, I did some work with Conrad at his last startup, SigFig. Sure, Conrad went down in flames of glory (ignominy?), but Zenefits will still prevail, right? It will, right?
