The Tars Slack room is a box of wonder. In it you can find all manner of weird conversations that deal with the most bizarre of topics.

Just the other day, I was rummaging through our archived channels when I found a conversation where we sincerely discussed the viability of self-driving cars for cats.
Of course, every now and then you also stumble across a gem in this swamp of fetid ideas.
Last week for example, I found a deep, and emotionally fraught debate between Vinit and I, where we were arguing about the correct approach to chatbot creation.
What was truly remarkable about this conversation was that by the end of it, we reached an agreement!
Far too many businesses jump onto the chatbot bandwagon expecting to build a hyper-intelligent sales agent within a matter of weeks. This expectation is novel, but unrealistic. Chatbots built around a more realistic benchmark tend to work better and offer real value to businesses and customers alike.
