Long time since we last spoke huh?
Well, the silence has not been wasted. We have been cooking up some crazy stuff behind the scenes to improve the way you make bots.
Need proof?
First off, here is exclusive footage of Vinit from our tech team hard at work on some of our new features:

Second, here are the said features that you can use today(~ish):
1. Brand new Bot Showcase
Do you ever get that feeling where you really want to make a bot but the brain juices just won’t flow? Yes! No? Maybe?!
Well, regardless of your answer, we are announcing the launch of the TARS bot showcase. This is a place where you can see the cool bots that others are making and take inspiration from them to build your own bots. Check it out over here -

2. Submitting your bot
Relatedly, you too can submit your bots to this showcase so that the whole world can bear witness to your bot making prowess.
All you need to do is send us the link to your bot here -

3. Image cards
Yep, cards with images on them. Images sitting atop a pile of cards. The mark of a new world I say!
Anyways, pst all of the drama, this feature is pretty cool. We are expanding your ability to offer users fixed options. Here is how you can do this -
4. Facebook Messenger Bot Integration…. Beta
We are thrilled to finally announce Messenger Integration for TARS… This is still in beta.
If you want access to it and release your bots on Messenger, feel free to contact us by replying to this email.

5. Some food for artificially sentient thought
Still wondering what to build? So was I. In my free time this week, I was contemplating what I should do with myself. Read a book? Kayak? Crochet? As tantalising as those options seemed, I did the natural thing and decided to build a bot. In particular, I built a bot that helps me personally.
Next month I will be flying through Hamad International Airport in Qatar. To my dismay, I recently discovered that my overpowered ZTE Maven 2 with its beastly 1.1 GHz processing power was too cool to run their website.
So I took Hamad Airport site and turned it into a bot that I can use when I land. Here is the Airport Bot :
Anyways, I have to go now. I’ll see you next week. Can’t wait to see what you have built by then.
Did you enjoy this issue?
