How we create newsletters that help us close $50k deals

If you think that these newsletters are just gauche, immature, crude attempts at making you subscribe to our delightfully intuitive chatbot building tools, then you are completely and utterly correct.
But that doesn’t mean we put out those pieces of trash that aren’t useful!🗑
Our newsletter has helped us engage prospects, and generate $50k/year deals, and we figured that we’d write a blogpost about it: https://hellotars.com/blog/how-to-newsletter/
Also, if you are interested in reading something a little more fun, here’s the long but true story of how we created this blogpost👇

Step 1
Drink way too much box wine at friend’s housewarming.
Step 2
After playing several rounds of Cards against Humanity, go out for 1AM tacos (order 1 Carne Asada, 1 Al Pastor and Horchata to wash it down)🌮🌮🥛
Step 3
Applaud your decision making skills because the food tastes like it was dropped straight from heaven😇
Step 4
Regret your decision making skills as the meat, corn flour, sangria, and horchata make a fetid cocktail in your stomach 🤢
Step 5
Violently throw up in trashcan🤮, and… this is important so pay attention… unwittingly drop house keys as you convulse in agony 🔑
Step 6
Pass out on friend’s couch🛋
Step 7
Wake up at noon…hangover 😫
Step 8
Realize you have to send out newsletter💡
Step 9
Rush home and then realize that you can’t find your house keys…
All hope is lost.
Step 10
Call building manager. He’s not at home.
Step 11
Break in through the back door.
Step 12
Scurry around headless as you try to find your laptop to draft newsletter📝
Step 13
Find laptop underneath the gargantuan pile of unfolded laundry on your couch.
Step 14
Open up the laptop and realize you don’t have a blogpost to send out.
Step 15
Write 15 steps on how you reached this point
Step 16
Realize that you don’t know how to finish the newsletter.
Step 17
Share newsletter copy with TARS slack group.
Step 18
Realize that you can end this newsletter with a real meaningful article about experience newsletters!
Step 19
Take a few days to actually write said blogpost.
Step 20
Add blogpost link to NL copy 👇
Step 21
Go camping!
Cheers,
Ish
