CoDE’s Dr Carla Bonina was interviewed for the below piece on open data that was just published in the Guardian yesterday, 14 December. It features her views on the subject, and part of the work she has been doing in the field.
The Bank of France has “opened” up millions of records for qualified researchers to have access to it. Not strictly open data, but certainly good for those that will be able to analyse it. Last week France hosted the Open Government Partnership in Paris, and there has been a lot of push for more open data to be released or supported in the country – so not a coincidence.
