We are delighted to report that Professor Alan W Brown will provide a keynote presentation at the BPM 2017 conference in Barcelona in September 2017 – a great chance to promote CoDE and showcase our work.
BPM 2017 is the 15th conference in a series that provides the most prestigious forum for researchers and practitioners in the field of Business Process Management (BPM).
Over the past decade, the conference has built its reputation by showcasing leading-edge research of the highest quality together with talks, tutorials and discussions by the most renowned thought leaders and innovators in the field. The BPM conference series embraces the diversity and richness of the BPM field and serves as a melting pot for experts from a mix of disciplines including Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Services Science and Technology Management.
AN INVITATION FROM ENDuRE:
Over the past 2 years the Surrey Centre for the Digital Economy (CoDE) has been engaged in a research project, the ENDuRE Knowledge Alliance, which has been looking at key aspects of the entrepreneurial journey.
European Network of Design for Resilient Entrepreneurship (ENDuRE) is an innovative approach to educating and supporting new entrepreneurs, aimed at increasing the resilience and competitiveness of European start-ups. The project has developed a holistic framework designed to help transform ideas into technically and economically viable businesses. ENDuRE brings together a cluster of forward-thinking academic institutions and companies forming an alliance to minimise the probability of failure, helping start-ups to grow quickly and overcome the ‘Valley of Death’.
We have run a series of ENDuRE workshops and promotional events at the University of Surrey, University of Pisa, and the University of Southern Denmark. Most recently, we ran a 35hr pilot programme, Digital Entrepreneurship Advanced Labs (DEAL), which saw 78 entrepreneurs, including a large proportion of Surrey’s previous MBA cohort, attend.
The ENDuRE project is now in its final stages to be released as a free online platform crammed full of valuable resources for today’s budding entrepreneurs. We want to take the opportunity to tell you about the ENDuRE project and how it can become an invaluable part of your MBA experience and entrepreneurial journey, home or abroad!
