According to a goMoxie survey emailed to Retail Dive, 40% of consumers struggle to do simple tasks on retail websites. More than half of consumers (62%) that struggle to complete a transaction online abandon their cart, the survey found.

Amazon brings delivery boxes to life with AR Halloween activities
Amazon released an app that lets customers use their smartphone cameras to scan QR codes on shipping boxes and unlock an augmented reality experience. The app, called Amazon Augmented Reality in Apple’s App Store and Amazon AR Player in Google Play, is described as a “fun way to reuse your Amazon boxes until you’re ready to drop them in the recycling bin.”

With fresh capital in hand, Allbirds moves into apparel
Allbirds is planting its flag firmly in the apparel space, after launching its first foray outside of footwear with a sock line in 2019. The DTC brand’s introductory collection includes a T-shirt, wool cardigan, wool jumper and a puffer jacket, according to details emailed to Retail Dive.

PayPal to let you buy and sell cryptocurrencies in the US
PayPal has partnered with cryptocurrency company Paxos to launch a new service. PayPal users in the U.S. will soon be able to buy, hold and sell cryptocurrencies. More countries are coming soon. Amazon rolls out virtual vacation tours that include shopping
Amazon has introduced Amazon Explore, which allows consumers to virtually take classes, tour exotic places and (surprise, surprise) shop at exotic locales.
Consumers can book one-on-one live-streamed sessions with local tour guides, instructors and personal shoppers. Most sessions last from 30 to 60 minutes. Prices range from as low as $10 for some shopping sessions to as high as $210.
