Target is expanding its same-day delivery through Shipt to include all major product categories by 2019, according to a company blog post celebrating the one year anniversary of the $550 million acquisition. The same-day delivery service will also add “hundreds” of new jobs at its headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama.
Cars.com’s own research supports the notion that dealers are interested in social media, with a recent survey finding that 77% of dealers plan to invest in social media in 2019 and 52% expect to increase their spend. Of those that plan to invest, 100% have earmarked budget for Facebook, 59% plan to invest in Instagram, 21% in Twitter and 9% in LinkedIn.
UPS doubled down with its just released 2019 general rate increase (GRI). The GRI goes into effect on Dec. 26, 2018, leaving customers with less than three weeks notice during the busiest retail season to analyze, adjust and plan accordingly, and will therefore also apply to all holiday returns.
