Purchases through social networks has yet to explode, according to digital commerce consulting firm Sumo Heavy. But Generation Z-ers are likely going to be the catalyst to help it take-off. Gen-z is made up of people born between the mid-90s and mid 2000s. According to trade publication “Ad Week,” that group will make up 40 percent of consumers by 2020. It’s predicted that they will spend twice as much time shopping on mobile phones than millennials.
