Each week, three links I think are worth reading. Less is more.

The big bike helmet debate: 'You don’t make it safe by forcing cyclists to dress for urban warfare'
“The question of whether cyclists should wear helmets provokes fury – often from those on four wheels. But which has the bigger benefit: increased physical safety, or creating a better environment for people to cycle helmet-free?” I did a bit of research around helmet-wearing when I got my lovely electric bike. I ride without one. But when I’m skiing, I do wear one. I’m a careful bike driver (I feel very fragile on my bike) but I ski fast, much faster than the speed at which I ride my bike. And I’ve had enough “bad” skiing accidents before everybody wore helmets that I didn’t think twice about getting one.

Working While Female
“After noticing that a client was treating him like crap while his email signature was accidentally set to my name, we came up with an experiment. We switched signatures for a week. Nothing changed, except that our clients read me as male and Marty as female.” If you haven’t read this, the story that even my not-very-connected francophone friends have been telling me about for the last few weeks, do so now.
