Happy holidays all! This is the last issue of 2021! We hope you enjoy it!
Time Machine
I would spend so much time with the above visual archive that allowed me to explore stamps by year. Sadly, the only way to see it via this link at Archive.org. However James Bone from the Archives Canada recently shared an alternative. You can read all about it here.
Once it was like bigfoot...
Plate 2 does exist!
This was a shocking share by collector Andrew Strunga. In Unitrade, when you look up stamp #1250 you will see the below message
Unitrade nots that Plate 2 had never been seen.
According to Andrew, he found the sheet on e-bay not even realizing it was Plate2 until it showed up. It was thought that only 50 or so sheets of Plate 1 with the traffic lights exist, so this Plate 2 variety is likely even rarer! See all the photos and more here.
Canada Collection 2021
I recorded a tour of the latest annual album from Canada Post. Enjoy!
