While the latter’s favored by businesses, PyTorch appears to be the clear favorite for researchers. Should this divide continue, I’m left wondering if it will produce talent and skill set gaps, as well as solution architecture challenges, when proofs of concepts transition to production implementations.

VA and UL study shows value of strong cybersecurity risk management standards for medical devices
According to sources, anywhere from 15 to 25% of medical devices are now connectable. For a large health system that translates into tens of thousands of devices; thousands of makes, models and versions; and over a dozen operating systems. This study by the VA and UL, a global leader in standards-making, inspection, testing and certification, goes a long way to demonstrating the value of strong risk management for connected medical devices.

Blockchain and GDPR: "Points of tension"
In July, the European Parliament released this study exploring “points of tension” between GDPR and blockchain. The study focuses on two areas likely to influence policymaking : (1) challenges in identifying a data controller for accountability purposes and (2) blockchain design principles seemingly at odds with erasure, purpose limitation, and data minimization standards.
