Lance Lynn has spoken repeatedly about how much he likes being with the White Sox.
The feeling is mutual, as the two sides agreed to a two-year contract extension. Announced Saturday, the pact is for $38 million which includes a 2024 club option.
Acquired from Texas over the offseason for Dane Dunning, Lynn was named an all-star and has gone 9-3 with a 1.99 ERA as the rotation has pushed the Sox to first place in the AL Central. Lynn, who was headed for free agency before Saturday’s news, was going to be one of the big offseason tasks for general manager Rick Hahn and the front office.
Now that question has been answered.
