Sports Tech Live

All your Sports Tech news in one place, covering topics like AR/VR, Data Analytics, eSports, Live Streaming, Sports Betting, Wearables, etc.

Hey Sports Tech Fans,
I am writing today’s newsletter from a rooftop in Barcelona after attending SBC Barcelona.
Gambling has been a very hot topic in this newsletter since the very first edition.
It’s been almost two years since I last attended a conference and it was great to be back meeting interesting people again.
The conference was dominated by the big European providers, operators, and data providers but I got the chance to speak with a number of startups.
Over the next few weeks, I will be sharing more details on those conversations as they are doing some extremely interesting and novel things in the areas of computer vision, live betting, and live data.
On the subject of gambling, there is a great story below about Disney entering the space.
When a company as family orientated as Disney is entering the gambling market then I think it’s clear it’s an industry on the rise in the US and past apprehension from big companies, sporting leagues and broadcasters are now long forgotten.
Have a great sporting weekend,
Will
