Fuck coaching rumors. Forget your free agency predictions. Burn that mock draft. Raiders are in the playoffs baby.
Seriously, they learned nothing from Gruden if Mark Davis hired a Harbaugh or any one else last week. You don’t leap frog the interview process to hire someone you like off back channel conversations.
Mike Mayock might not be the answer but don’t give the keys to your football operations to just anybody. Either way, our focus should be on securing our first playoff win in twenty years.
Hopefully this won’t be my last column of the season. That isn’t up to me but I am excited that we are relevant this late in the year. I’m not sure this Raiders team can win it all based on the inconsistencies shown throughout the year but they’ve got nothing to lose and the playoffs is a new season. The Bengals are probably the toughest out they could’ve drawn due to their explosiveness on offense.
Win, lose or tie I’m going to have fun today as long as the boys come out swinging. Let’s keep up the same desperation that we had in the last quarter of the season. I also like that the Raiders are making more adjustments at halftime under Bisaccia.
This group has enough veterans to sustain any big plays versus an equally inexperienced Bengals team. They’ve been through a lot and playing for their lives for six weeks. They must come out and set the tempo. Show the Bengals we ain’t the same team that got our ass whooped in Vegas.
Somebody unexpected must step up and make a play if this wild card team can pull the upset. However, the usual suspects must take their games to a new level. Maxx Crosby and Casey Hayward were big last week and we will need them again.
Josh Jacobs and Derek Carr must cement themselves as elite by making big time plays in this big game. Be Bad Ass. Take calculated risk. Create turnovers. Don’t slip up on penalties too much. Get Home. Win at all costs. Raiders football and more to winning below.
Thanks for the read and cheers!
