SF-Seoul Sister City Newsletter #2: Seoul Mayor Won-soon Park visits San Francisco
Dear Friends,
Last week, our committee had the honor of hosting Mayor of Seoul, Won-soon Park, and his staff in San Francisco. Mayor Park first attended Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas from January 6-9 before visiting San Francisco. He departed for Washington D.C. right after on January 11th.
During the visit, Mayor Park met with the Mayor of San Francisco, London Breed, to discuss issues related to inequality. He also paid tribute to a “comfort women” statue that honors victims of Japan’s wartime sexual slavery. And of course, he attended a luncheon with SF-Seoul Sister City Committee members at Swiss Louis Italian Restaurant in Pier 39 where we announced the Museum Art Exchange Program in year 2021.
You can view some photos on our Facebook Page. Also, check out more details on Mayor Park’s visit in the Google-translated articles below.
