Last month, AWS announced that Amazon Location is now in preview: a new service that lets you create maps, collect location data and define geofences.
The low cost makes it a promising alternative to certain other mapping providers – and they’re planning to add routing API soon too.
Ben Ellerby: “Many development teams are getting asked to integrate location data into their applications in one form or another. This seems super simple to get up and running, and best of all it has a Serverless pricing model. Finally, the fact it’s been built to retain privacy from the get-go is a major plus.” - Serverless Transformation Editor
