🆕 Personal Updates
This month’s issue marks two years since I first published The Creator Club newsletter back in early 2020. It’s also the first time I’ve published it a week late 😅
It’s been a wild month for me. Between travelling with work, submitting my first tax return, gearing up to sell my house, and having a stag party abroad it’s certainly been a struggle to prioritise.
But you don’t want to listen to my first world problems.
Despite toying with the idea of skipping a month and repeatedly telling myself “the beauty of having your own newsletter is you don’t have deadlines”. And I don’t, but I do occasionally have sponsors who expect it to be published on time. So this month I made a somewhat tricky decision to cancel my sponsors for this month and publish this issue when I was ready.
Right, let’s get to it - time for this month’s roundup 👇

This month I want to give a huge shout out to Charlie and his rebrand and launch of Ramen Club on Product Hunt earlier this month. Ramen Club is the community getting you to ramen profitable, and beyond. I’ve personally joined a few remote sessions and also joined them for co-working days and loved the fact everyone I’ve met is working towards the same goal and willing to help each other through the daunting process. Check it out.

🐦 Tweet of the month
I’m a sucker for a good startup story despite most of them glamorising the journeys, but hey, it makes for good reading and can be pretty inspiring. This is a fascinating thread by Shreyans who documents the startup story of Ivan Zhao - founder of Notion.
Shreyans Singh
Investors kept calling to fund his startup, but he refused all of them.

This is the story of Ivan Zhao and how he built the $10 billion giant, Notion: https://t.co/CI5w8lBJfB
⚡️ Flashback
This month I’m going to leave you with this fascinating illustration created in 1957, by Disney. Shout out to Charlie for sharing this with me 👏
This business blueprint built around Disney’s business units with context to products, customers, interactions and distribution channels and as you start follow and understand it, it’s a virtuous cycle. Every cycle, provides more value and entertainment to its customers while growing products and brands, increasing revenue of various businesses, creating new markets, opportunities for audience to interact and participate further, creating Disney’s Flywheel!
That’s it for this month!
