Hello beautiful people -
Isn’t it just a beautiful thing that Eliud Kipchoge has won the World Sport Star of the Year 2019 for his sub 2 hour marathon?
If you didn’t get a chance to watch Eliud make history back in October, I strongly suggest you find 1 hour 59 min over the festive period to sit back and enjoy, what is without a doubt, one of the most deserving performances of a World Sports Person of the year ever.
More beautiful than Eliud’s running performance is his post run interview where he asks that the legacy of his run is used to make the world a more beautiful place. If you don’t have 1 hour 59 min at least take 59 sec to listen to these beautiful words from his post run-interview. We πŸ’™ you Eliud.

If you type β€œyou are beautiful” into YouTube you are presented with a video that should never be shared, promoted, or played under any circumstance. So, instead this issue we bring you an adaptation of Robert Burain’s β€œSo in Love” by SaxoKid - smooth… just like those poly shorts from the 80s.
Run 777 tour updates
In run777’s first year of inception none of the inaugural runners, including myself, had ever taken on a multi-day running event. As such we found ourselves the world class coach and runner Christiaan Greyling to develop a training plan that would get us through 7 marathons in 7 consecutive days. The plan that Christiaan developed for us was a 6 month daily plan which builds from a base 30km week up to the biggest week which is just shy of 120km. Those that are running the May event will (should 😬) be now doing in the region of ~50km per week. If you’d like any help with your training please give us a shout and we’ll put you in contact with Christiaan.
Also, a reminder that entry for next year’s Eastern and Central Europe Tour closes on Jan 7th 2020.
In focus πŸ“·
Let’s face it, you can’t not smile when finding a small inconspicuous sticker with the words β€œyou are beautiful” whilst out on your week-day training run in the the big smoke.
Well, that’s all folks. And just in case you were wondering… I managed to use the word beautiful 15 times in this newsletter. Now that’s a beautiful thing.
Until next time, keep running towards better & beautiful (16 times πŸ˜‰)
Cheers,
Ollie
