Although this is a “running” newsletter it doesn’t mean we can’t mix it up… right?
This week, I thought, German ultra cyclist Jonas Diechmann deserved the spotlight. Firstly, did you even know that cycling 18,000 kilometres from North Cape in Norway to Cape Town was a thing? Well, if that in itself wasn’t wild enough know that last week Jonas smashed the record by 30 days to complete the cycle in  72 days 7 hours and 27 minutes. I’ll help with the math on that - 250km every day for 72 days?!! Somebody get that man drink 🍺

Event focus 🚣🏻‍♀🚵🏾‍♀🏃🏽‍♂
Given we’re mixing it up this week’s event focus is on Expedition Africa, a multi day adventure race. Teams of four complete approximately 500km in 4 to 7 days, on foot, mountain bike and kayak. Every year Expedition Africa visits a different area in Southern Africa to showcase it to the world. Next April one of our very own run777 finishers will be taking part in the Lesotho event. This is definitely one I’ve got on my bucket list. Find out more here

Lexer creates beautiful melodic sets perfect for those long Autumn runs. He bridges the gap between club and pop, underlining his open-minded, intuitive approach to music, remarkably skilled at such a young age.
Run 777 tour updates
It’s hard to believe we’re approaching the final week of November. This means we’ve got just over 5 months until we kick-off our third run777 and our first tour of central and eastern Europe. For those still undecided you still have some time as registration only closes on the 7th of January 2020.

The beautiful Lake Annecy in France
The beautiful Lake Annecy in France
This was taken at around the 30km mark in marathon number two (Lake Annecy, France) during our 2019 Tour. With a circumference just shy of 42 km this natural beauty was made for a marathon route. Interesting fact: Lake Annecy is the 3rd largest lake in France. It is know as Europe’s cleanest lake. Lake Annecy was formed 18,000 years ago at the time the largest alpine glacier melted.
Have a great week folks and until next time… keep running towards better!
