Hi, friends! It’s been a month since my last issue. Unabashed ask: Share this link on Facebook/Twitter if you think your friends/followers might enjoy this (infrequent) email digest. 🤗

Building a startup? Build an audience, first.
“How do I find a technical co-founder?”
A few days ago I shared my advice to this common question on Twitter. This morning, I wrote a bit more about this topic and an audience-first strategy to company building.
What I'm upvoting 🔼
Pacemaker+ does all the hard work of a DJ, mixing your favorite music (from Spotify) into remarkably awesome sets. Here’s my Meow Mix 1.
The Magic Door
Many nascent platforms are fueled by games. They become drivers of word of mouth and have the potential to generate massive revenue (games often dominate Apple’s top grossing charts). The Magic Door is a audio-based game on Alexa. Keep an eye (or ear) on this space.
Google launched an “autocorrect for doodles”. I drew a cat.
What I'm reading 📖
Who I'm following 🐥
Joel Gascoigne, CEO of Buffer
I recently caught up with Joel, a founder I’ve admired particularly for his transparency and “pay it forward” attitude.
Sandi MacPherson, CEO of Quibb (and more)
Sandi is a natural community builder, an inspiration for how we grew Product Hunt in the early days.
Heath W. Black, Imzy (previously reddit)
Heath is authentic; an awesome product thinker and human being.
What I'm listening to 🎶

One last thing...
Meetups have been a part of Product Hunt since the beginning. Since we hosted our first meetup in San Francisco in 2014, the community has taken charge, hosting gatherings around the world. We’ve seen over 300 meetups (🙀) hosted across the globe from New York to Amsterdam.
Last week we announced a challenge to the community: to host 200 meetups by the end of 2017. In 24 hours, 150 people raised their hand. If you’d like to host a meetup in your city, let us know and we’ll help! 🙌
