Automate Everything! 🤖 #189

Hi everybody,
I’ve had a few crazy weeks, but now time off to spend with the family. I’ve spent the past week working on a DesignOps dashboard in Airtable, refining our design process even further and setting up OKRs for the next phase: Automation!
I’m very excited by this! A big admin team isn’t necessary when you have a consistent approach and automated processes. Whether that’s in reporting, or onboarding new talent (and I’ve been meeting a lot of new faces over the past week), having a stream of timely updates takes the busywork away from the team and makes way for strategic thinking and decision making. Also - less stress!
There’s some things that shouldn’t be automated though. I’ve been more aware that conversations have to happen more. Impromptu Slack calls to solve problems are essential for our rapidly growing product studio.
Earlier this week, I joined a Pomodoro session on Butter. It was setup as an accountability session where I did my focused work with a 20 minute timer and alongside a stranger somewhere in the world. It was magic! Got through my burning tasks within 1.5 hours. Will do again!
Productivity hacks and data-informed decision making at break-neck speed is accelerating my capacity to execute change and it’s really exciting to learn how I can operate at this level.
If you have any business automations, I’d love to hear about them!

Turn regular meetings into workshops
A mini session! How can you take a boring meeting and turn it into an exciting workshop? This week, I ran a mini session on sharing meetings we’ve rather not have, sharing a rather unique structure on how to turn it into a workshop, and then ending with a you can take forwards.
Coolness from around the web 😎
