“Reading after a certain age diverts the mind too much from its creative pursuits. Any man who reads too much and uses his own brain too little falls into lazy habits of thinking, just as the man who spends too much time in the theater is tempted to be content with living vicariously instead of living his own life.”

Today’s hiring process is broken

In the future, you'll be able to apply for a job and start working 60 seconds later

Thread: How NFTs will change hiring forever:
GREG ISENBERG
The way hiring (mostly) works today:

1. You apply to 50 jobs with your CV
2. You get 5 interviews to prove competency
3. You hope 5/5 are able to properly gauge your skills to get an offer

Buuuut CV + an interview often doesn’t tell the whole story
GREG ISENBERG
Let's be real:

- Many candidates don’t interview well
- Many candidates undersell themselves
- Many interviewers don’t interview well
- Many interviewers have prejudice

Bottom line: we could do better

How’re you and yours doing this week? Any major changes to your status quo, or are things fairly locked-in and predictable at the moment? I respond to every email I get—consider sending me a message and telling me a bit about yourself and what’s been up in your world.
