Lost gamers and having the hots for protagonists

The Rice Digital Weekly Digest
The Rice Digital Weekly Digest
Hello everyone, and a very happy weekend to you all. Your Editor was super busy yesterday so didn’t get around to sending out this week’s Rice Digital Weekly Digest, but here we are now!
This week, we’ve started trying something new over on YouTube, with the assistance of our newest team member. Be sure to stop by and check out some of our gameplay videos that feature a quick, informative introduction – they’ll be covering old and new games that we feature on the site. Subscribe if you haven’t already!
We also learned the sad news that we’re to say goodbye to Nyu Media. This company was one of the first to really celebrate Japanese doujin releases by bringing them to English-speaking audiences – and they were a close pal of Rice Digital in our early days. While it’s a shame to see them closing their doors, their philosophy about the whole things is a sound on – on the whole, it’s a good thing that a company like theirs is no longer “needed” in order for Japanese creators to have a voice in the west.
Anyway, enough blabbering from me – let’s catch up on what you might have missed this week!
Pete Davison, Editor
