It’s time to review another productive month here at Redash. A lot happened and many things planned forward, as usual, you can find the most important things below.

Redash on ProductHunt
After over 4 years, we finally launched Redash on Product Hunt 🎉 and reached #5 Product of the Day. You can read some nice reviews and if you’re feeling it, you can add yours, too!
Let's React
Thank to the help from Mozilla’s Data Tools Team, we’re starting to migrate our frontend code from Angular 1 to React. This is a long overdue task which will take some time, and going to happen along regular development. You can read more here.
Also, we’re starting an overhaul to our parameters implementation. Starting with the UI/UX and then with the backend implementation, to extend the use cases. Read all the details here.
SQL Query to Calculate SaaS Metrics
It will probably not surprise you that we’re using Redash to track our business metrics. As those are pretty much standard for all SaaS businesses, we thought it will be useful to share the query we use to calculate these metrics.
Redash Pro/Enterprise
In Q4 2018 we’re planning to introduce a new version of Redash - Redash Pro/Enterprise. The goal of this version is to have a better offering of a self hosted Redash for the larger companies who use Redash.
What’s planned in the first release of this version?
  • Easier upgrade/deployment
  • Support with SLA
  • Better management tools & audit logging
  • Usage Analytics
If this sounds interesting to you, please get in touch via this form.
Redash stays Open Source and not open core. But there is a set of features that are less relevant for most of our users, that bigger deployments can benefit from. Those will be part of this version. If you’re still concerned about this – please reach out as well.
Pricing Update
Fine-tuning our hosted platform (SaaS) pricing and actually forcing pricing plan limits is also a long overdue task which we finally completed. We rolled out the new pricing plans. Don’t worry, Redash is still very affordable (and of course free in the form of the open source version), our 🌱 Starter plan starts at $49 per month. Check out our new pricing.
Happy Querying 🤓
