Happy November! Since the previous update, we were busy wrapping up the V6 release, building the team and extending our relationship with the community.

V6 Beta
The beta for the next release is coming soon, probably early next week. In this release we have 5 new data sources (Databricks, DB2, Kylin, Druid and Rockset), improvements to existing data sources, PagerDuty alerts destinations, improved mobile views and more.
Follow us on Twitter or subscribe for updates from the Announcements category in the forum to learn when it’s released.
Our team is growing!
This month Omer Lachish joined the team as a developer along with Gabriel Dutra who joins as an intern. Omer kicked the tires by adding support for Druid, while Gabriel added the infrastructure needed to run E2E tests for Redash.
Extending relationship with the community
Speaking of a growing team… we are also extending the Redash Maintainers team to community members. In September Jannis Leidel and Allen Short joined the Maintainers team and this month we extended the invitation to 9 more members from the community.
We will be adding more members over time, based on past activity. Note that to qualify you need to be involved with the project in some capacity, but it doesn’t require you to write code. You can help with documentation, organize meetups or just help other users on the forum.
Redash Hackweek with Mozilla
This month Mozilla’s Data Tools team (who maintains their Redash) had a Redash hack week in their Berlin office. They invited Arik to join them to discuss ongoing projects their team involved with: extensions API, React migration, UI testing infrastructure and API documentation.
Happy Querying! 🤓
